The Cheaters Diet
About the Program
The Cheaters Diet program was developed by Dr. Paul Rivas. He believes that if you do everything that is necessary to achieve a healthy lifestyle and that you take the time to ensure that you cheat only on designated days - like the weekend, for example, that you can be successful in your weight loss goals!
|
Dr. Paul Rivas knows and understands that it is not the fact that you elect to cheat that is the problem; it is just how much that you do it!
In this program, you are expected to stick to the diet as it is written all week long. Then from 9:00am on Saturday until 9:00pm on Sunday, you get to cheat and eat all of those foods that you love!
Foods You Can Eat
You get a large variety of foods on this weight loss program and you'll find it's based on the foods from the Mediterranean Diets. These foods include a variety of fruits, and exotic vegetables. You are also permitted to eat a wide selection of lean meats, whole grains, lean protein, healthy fats, dairy products that are low-fat and peanuts.
Using what is called the plate method you will fill your plate with one-quarter lean protein, one-half with vegetables and fruits, and the rest with whole grains. You'll also have menus and recipes included in the book.
Exercise
Dr. Paul Rivas expounds on the fact that physical exercise is quite important. While he does suggest that exercise programs are important, like going to the gym on a regular basis, he also takes the approach that any type of physical activity that you do on a weekly basis is also appropriate. This type of physical activity includes things like mowing the lawn with a push mower, washing your vehicles, gardening, and even playing football or softball and swimming!

- There's not a strict exercise plan - instead you stay physically active by doing things you enjoy as well as regular exercises.
- The Cheaters Diet is affordable!
Cons
- Many medical professionals state that allowing a whole thirty six hours of "cheating" in a diet is ineffective when it comes to losing weight, and keeping it off.
Summary
The Cheaters Diet is healthy and emphasizes healthy choices in food as well as encouraging physical activity.
Dr. Rivas believes with controlled cheating and allowing you to have "desserts in moderation" that you will stick to the program and eat healthfully during the week. Although he recommends some supplements he also states it is not necessary to take these supplements to lose weight successfully.
